Barrett Visitation

I'll be transferred to Barrett soon and I am very excited and nervous about the new site.  I previously taught at East Mesa Juvenile Facility, South Region Community Schools, Vista Unified, and San Diego Unified, and began my teaching career at Hillcrest Receiving Home, but this will be my first time to be at a remote "camp" site.

San Pasqual Academy sounds like a great place to teach as well as to continue to coach sports-- I was deeply  saddened and disappointed when JCCS lost its Restart Grant and we could no longer continue to offer our students the opportunity to participate in organized team sports.  Are there any other JCCS sites that allow students to participate in extra curricular activities such as work experience, community service, or sports?

Response to Alan November Film 8/16/10

I wholeheartedly believe in Alan's viewpoints regarding the future of education.  As educators, we need to innovate and be willing to accept change for the better to meet the needs of our students on a global perspective.  Information technology is the key to engage our digital natives in our curriculum as effective instructional leaders of life-long learners.  The world is passing us by, and to stay competitive, we must keep pace or perish.
